I WON $700,000.00!!!

I am sure if you have an email address, you have gotten your fair share of emails claiming you won money. Typically these go right into my junk box and I never even see them let alone read them, but today this one caught my eye and it we so funny I had to share.

I can't imagine anyone actually falling for one of these scams, but then again since they still keep coming around, maybe they get lucky from time to time. I have to believe they would be more successful if they actually learned English. I have taken a stab at proofing this one for them.

Greetings! (Junk mail starts with an opening like this)

I have been waiting for you since to contact me (in regards to) for your Confirmable Bank Draft (WTF is a Confirmable Bank Draft?) of $700,000.00 United States Dollars, but I did not hear from you since that time. Then I went and have deposited the Draft with FeDex (FedEx) Courier Service,_West Africa. I have traveled out of the country for a 3 months course and I will not come back till the end of the year. What you have to do now is to contact the FeDex (FedEx) Courier Service as soon as possible to know when they will deliver your package to you because of the expiring expiration date. For your information the only money You will need to send to the FeDex (FedEx) Courier Service to deliver your Draft direct to your postal Address in your country. ($205.00US) dollars only being for a Security Keeping Fee (seriously, pick a different fee, this one makes no sense) of the Courier Company so far._Urgently send your full name and, address, and telephone number.

Again, (again? this is the first time you mentioned it) don't be deceived by anybody (anyone) to or pay any other money except $205.00US Dollars._(This is my favorite part) I would have paid that but they said no because they don't know when you will contact them and in case of demur-rage (I suck at spelling, but I think they mean "damage" and what damage can you do to a check? Just void it and reprint). You have To contact the FEDEX COURIER SERVICE now for the delivery of your Draft with this (use the) information below:

Contact Person: Rev John Daniel (A Reverend, really? Must be true then.)

Email Address: fedexcourier-deptunit2011@hotmail.com (FedEx uses hotmail now?)
Telephone:052879732

Let me repeat again, try to contact them as soon as you receive this mail to avoid any further delay and remember to pay them their Security Keeping fee of $205.00 US Dollars for their immediate action. You should also let me know through email as soon as you receive your Draft.

Yours Faithfully,
Mrs._Sarah Anderson

Even with my edits, this is still poorly written and laughable. It is tempting to play along but I do have a fear of the unknown so for now I will merely mock them virtually.
